Had a vacuum leak for ages when unlocking the car, I could hear hissing from the central cubby between the seats so assumed it was the actuator.

I got round to changing it today, and rather disappointingly the problem was still there. I traced it to the distribution block under the rear seats, one of the input/outputs was leaking. Not having one of these to hand, I simply swapped round some of the pipes and used one of the red plugs with some silicone bathroom sealant to seal up the leaky port.

Wait until everything set, re-assembled, and voila, no more vacuum leak and no more pump running on.

Well pleased :D
