r129 wipers not working 1994 SL320

Hi , looking for some help in diagnosing wipers that are not working , were working very intermittently only at one speed but have now stopped totally. A previous post from a few year ago showed the N10 relay which could be repaired but on mine the relay is solid state and not contacts. as I only used it in summer was not a problem, but now I would appreciate any advice and a method of faulting. thanks

Replace the fuse for wiper and also the "general comfort fuse" which feeds the relay (fuse 2 on a W124, not sure on R129). In fact change them all anyway - they might look fine but be a bad contact/in bad condition. I've had 12 various electrical issues on mercs of that age over the years, 11 were fixed by changing the fuses!

If the fuse blows again it will be time for a fresh motor

thanks for your advice , have replaced fuses and no joy, will strip down to wiper motor and check if it is working and start from there. thanks
