R171 2008 SLK280 Facelift, Canister or Insert Type Fuel Filter?

My notes tell me MB ESS recommends changing the fuel filter every 15 years, which means it's now a year overdue. The garage I'm thinking of using can change an insert type fuel filter but not the canister type.

Not personally changed mine - however I believe A1714700990 to be the correct part number (no. 50 in the diagram below)

Hope not Russ, I believe that's the canister type, I was hoping it was one of these :
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/296123682939 which shows as fitting an R171 454 engine type 272942, which is what mine is. £20 delivered is far preferable to the prices I saw for the A1714700990 (3 figures!) and may need lots of things removed including draining the fuel tank and is I think what the garage described as canister type which they cannot do rather than insert type, which is what I think the Ebay one is. I've also asked the garage that recently serviced the C220 for a quote, their mechanic Darren is MB trained, used to look after Arrow Taxi's fleet of C/E220 diesels and did service work for customers cars, waiting for a reply from them.

It will be in the tank, it's more work than the external type. Have they said why they can't do it? (Not available?)

They don't have a licence for stuff like draining the tank etc. never mind, as it's the awkward and expensive one I'll give it a miss! Thanks for your help.
