Back in 2018 i had the front off side abc strut replaced, the picture is from 2021. the dust cover has kind of come apart, circular strap had come away. a circular metal hoop is under the top section. my repair back in 2021 was simple as push the two section together and a big Ty-rap on the lower section holding the top section to bottom creating the dust cover seal. Metal hoop under joint stopping the collapse.
Today i took my SL to ramp today to confirm my weep/leak is from the engine oil cooler and not anything else (it is very easy to deal with being at the top). The question i'm asking is has anybody sourced a replacement dust cover for a ABC strut? for 2006 face-lift sl500 with the m273 engine ?
