Hi, the vacuum pipe which runs down the offside boot hinge has snapped. The boot now shows as not locked and therefore roof will not open. Have tried repairing the pipe with tape, glue etc but no luck. I'm assuming I have to replace the whole hose from boot lock to PSE in the boot? Is this easy? whats the run of the hose? What hose is required - silicon hose? TIA for any advice

I snapped a pipe under a seat and used plastic fuel pipe tubing to create a sleeved join. Been working fine for 2 years now.

Thanks. If I use a repair hose assume I need to use clamps or elec ties which will make it difficult to clip in the hinge tray? I'm err'ing on stripping the boot out and running a new hose from lock to PSE... job done then... ??

I didn't use anything on mine.
Gested the hose gently to make it soft then overlapped about 6" each end. It's not shifting.

these would normally be nylon, PVC, PE or hard PU, silicone would be too soft and the wall would collapse under vacuum

If you butt the two ends together under the sleeve this isn't an issue.
