My exhaust is about to give up on me. 2003 sl350. Can't find any relevant posts so probably not doing it correctly. Anyway, not keen on coughing up £2k
I'm not sure if anyone knows where I can get one - imported or UK- local garage will fit (chippenham). Or whether I can get one made and fitted for a lot less than £2k?

Havin a quick look! I think you should decide if keeping car and if so get a stainless system made up. Can't see much change out of 1000 1200 for that. Unless you can get past the cat cats then build system not cheap

Have a look at power flow exhausts , I’m going to be in a similar position soon with my CLK one . MB want £750 + fitting for a new one

Ant at ARO exhausts near Aylesbury does a cracking job for a good price. He's part of the powerflo franchise. Tends to be booked up a bit ahead so can be hard to get a time slot but we'll worth it.
He makes the system from scratch.

No response from Powerflo. Called them and left messages. I have found a company called MLJ exhausts in Walsall and the estimate is less than £700. Booked in for 19th June so will update how it goes

I popped to Walsall and MLJ did a fine job. Both exhausts fully fitted for just over £700. The job took around 5 hours. We'll worth the visit and highly recommended. It's a bit louder than the old system but that's fine
