Alfie, I cannot hear anything from my phone for an incoming call or when I dial out. The phone mutes the sound when it rings and when I dial out to my answer phone the sound is there but very weak and distorted. Is the fault in the Comand unit or is there a phone module. It is a standard Nokia 2210 with the holder in the glove box top half that you can unclip and use on the flexi cord.

I have the other fault with the Comand not turning off, so do I get it repaired or replace it. There is a firm that fix all of the faults for £175. What do you think please.

There is a phone module. It is located underneath the panels behind the seats just behind the back of the centre armrest. Does the system work okay if you pickup the cradle/phone and use it like that or is it when using hands free mode?

£175 is a good price to get it all fixed. Does this include the CANBUS issues you have? I take it Richards cable didnt help?

Thank you for the reply,, I wonder if I disturbed something when I did the Digi TV conversion, as I believe it was OK until then, but I hardly ever use it, and hard to say. It is the same when the cradle is lifted out, and nothing wrong with the flexi cord etc.

I have not got around to testing out the CAN as the car has been used very much this summer with little time to pull it apart. I have the location of the CAN connectors and I thought that maybe I should wait until the shutting down is fixed. Its very annoying as it is, as if you stop the car sometimes the Navi part takes some time to activate, and only does so once the clock has re set, this happens after the ½ hour turn off mod and the power is removed from the Comand.
