Hi all,
Was wondering what people do for storage. I don't have the luxury of a garage so it will be stored on the drive and was thinking of buying a cover and would be helpful for any sound advice regarding type and condensation.

Additionally anyone got any good ideas on removing tree sap from my car and if their is a protective product /wax/polymer I get get applied that will help with protecting the car in the future.

Thanks for viewing

For the cover @Morethanpolish may be able to help and for the Sap issue

I would have it ceramic coated

I always asked myself this question, as my old Daimler did not like being out in the elements. I never got around to a car cover, but I would think it can only help.

Depending on how much money you want to spend you could get a Carcoon that folds up right over the car.

This is a bit of a rambling review but I'm sure you'll get the picture.

My car sits out all winter under covers I buy from e bay for around £40. I've never had a problem with them. I buy a new one every year because no matter how I try I can't prevent bits of leaf etc getting stuck to the inside when it's taken off and folded up.
As an alternative to ceramic coating try a polymeric coating. I use Wurth brand. It's very economical, gives a very high gloss and smooth finish.

I’m really not a fan of covers, they often trap condensation and lead to rust and corrosion.
I’d wash and polish it and use it whenever possible on days without salt.

Few things nicer than a top down evening blast with the stars overhead and the heater on.

Hi there,
Not sure if i can cover the outside aspect although a few things i have done could read across. Just about to start my tenth winter storage.
Put several towels in each corner directly below where the two seals meet on the rear windscreen in the boot, if your not covering.
I tend to charge the boot battery every 7 days with a trickle charger for 12 hours.
Rear arches i packed out with old axle grease to stop water ingress between liner and metal, it works.
re the comments about keeping clean and polishing i agree, the other is a drive car and weather doesn't take long to eat through polish.
