My SL 400 has developed an issue with the assist systems that I'm unable to resolve.
I had all the assist systems (attention assist, lane keeping, blind spot, brake assist,) activated and functioning until last week when they become inoperative. I switched off what I could but was unable to do that with blind spot and brake assist, consequently they are throwing up warning messages and illuminated orange triangles in the door mirrors. The traffic sign assist and parking pilot are both working ok.
I've cleaned the sensors and windscreen and taken the car for a long drive to charge the battery, but to no avail.
I would welcome your thoughts on this and any suggestions as to how to resolve it would be gratefully received. Thanks.

Also do you have stop start, that playing up can be a sign of dying consumer battery

I’d actually suggest it’s one of the radar sensors that has gone, they live in the bumpers and iirc are prone to water ingress, only way to know for sure is to put it in STAR and have the live data read

Thank you for your responses. Doesn't seem to be something I can fix, so it's a trip to the garage!:(

there's never going to be a home and or simple fix for sophisticated kit like ADAS problems....

I expect its a sensor or wiring fault somewhere. even the best 5k diagnostic tools will struggle to help on this stuff. dealer only will be the pain free fix (except for your wallet)

I was just reading about the very latest diagnostic kit from Autel and the module flashing they are starting to support (software updates), it looks like they are only supporting engine and gearbox flashing and NOT all modules. There's also lots of money tied up in the various garbage to do the calibration set up they need after any software changes, which mean very few independent's will ever go there
