R231 PSE pump (multi contour seats)

Looks like the PSE pump in my SL350 R231 has seized - getting it refurbished at the moment (they seem quite difficult to find in the UK on the secondhand market).

So, here's the problem. Decided to check the pipe harness for leaks - all seems OK, except when I blow into the green pipe which has a big white plastic thing inline (circled red in attached photo) - the air simple comes out of the white plastic thing. This may be completely normal as I have no idea what the green pipe is for (perhaps air intake?)

Any ideas?

Hi Richard,

just wondered if you got this resolved and if so, please could you tell me where you got your seat pump refurbished? The dynamic multi contour seats in my 2013 SL63 are not working, fuses are all good but I can’t hear the pump running at all. I will take it for a Star diagnosis later this week.
