Soo. I'm new here and have a rather odd issue I'm hoping somebody could shed some light on. Last night whilst driving the yellow coolant temperature light flashed up on the screen and the temperature gauge was going up and down (below operating temperature) the radiator fan was also running at 100%. The coolant level was perfect and there were no signs of overheating. Anyway when I got home I plugged it in with snap on solus, no codes and after 30 seconds the radiator fan stopped. I spoke with my neighbour this morning who said the fan was running intermittently all night as it was outside his bedroom window, not at full speed but coming on and going off. Would appreciate any help with this. Thanks in advance

Sounds like the fan control module is playing about which is part of the fan! Have seen it a few times. Unfortunately, the fan units are pretty expensive! Check the plug to the fan hasn’t had water in there and gone green!!

I was kind of hoping on that as my 2nd thought was ECU as the needle was going up and down sporadically. I have cleaned all of the electrical contacts and it seems to be ok for now. . Thankyou for your reply
