Radiator Grill.

Hi looking for a front Radiator Grill for my 2006 W221 'S' Class, have been told the grill on my car is incorrect . Best place to find one ??

No that grille is not correct at all, ebay would be a good starting point

Hi Andy, have seen a couple of S class on different sites, W221 320 long AMG Line with the same grill could it have been a special request by the first owner, Or did they produce a certain amount with this grill ? for some reason,

oohhh the inappropriate badge thread springs to mind and the double three pointes star a big no no.

Look on the bay of e as mentioned, to be doubly certain and get the right one MB. It could be that the car came with the starred gril and the flat boot emblem and vice versa (boot star and plain grill). But the big cars have the target.

Will there be some part or identification number that i could look for ? Maybe a previous owner damaged the original grill and fitted this one ??

Aftermarket grill will have a shady part no on it meaning nothing to the MB community.

Put your vin in 7zap or mbteilkatalogue and find the correct part number

It’s a C Class grille by the looks of it.

W221 all have the executive grille. The sports grille with the centre star at this point in time was found on the grand tourers (CL & SL), sports (SLK) and sports pack variants of the saloons.

Thanks someone must have changed it for some reason ! Damage, rust marks , dont know was like this when i bought it 18 mths ago. no sign's of any other damage, maybe just liked this grill ???

It’s not unusual, some people want the sports style grille

So do they class this as the sports grill ? is it unusual to have it fitted on a S class, getting a load of s--t on a forum on F/Book saying its wrong its a Chinese copy, never got fitted on a S class, just getting a load of grief over a grill, just small minded people thinking we should all be the same,

I’ve never seen an S-Fitted with the “sports” star in grill badge. If you want it keep it, just replace the “gun-sight” as the “double-star” just doesn’t look right.
I’d go back to the original grill and gun sight as I really like that look. But it’s your car and your choice.

Thanks been looking on ebay. question , does it have to be from another S class (W221) or will on off another one fit ? as a lott seem to be the same, would i be looking for a grill off a S class or off a W221 line seems a big difference in price

As long as it is stated that it will fit a W221 you will be ok
