I have seen in an Car hi fi specialist, that you can get a converter box for running after market head unit controls from your steering wheel buttons. I must admit I did not ask about this, or know anything more about it!
But as Piestore said Sony does not have a CAN system. So it would seem that this wont work or you will need yet another head unit with the correct bits!
Final thought -you could get a wheel mounted remote control (if your model has that facility). Not ideal but........
