Radio Code - Please Help!

Hi all

I picked up a '98 S320 (W140) in December and since turning on the radio the other day it is asking me for the radio code which I dont have - what do I do?

There is no manual for the radio with the paperwork I got with the car nor can I contact the previous owner.

The unit is the original radio / cassette deck which incorporates the Sat Nav.

I know there are websites which claim to decode your radio or give you the code for a fee but I thought I would run it past you knowledgable people first.

There is a MB dealership in Stratford which isnt far from me if necessary.

thanks in advance
Keith

Try Radiocode.co.uk, Ive just this minute done mine, You have to get the serial number and model number of the radio and they will give you the code and instructions online! No other way, other than dealers

Try giving the dealer a ring, they should be able to find the code if you give them the VIN number. I think they may make a small charge.

Thanks for that, will I need to take the radio out to get the serial and model numbers? I try to avoid fiddling with things where possible, I dont think I even have the little metal bar things to slide the radio out :(
