Whlist driving my CLK on the motorway, listening to radio 4, the radio went off and now requires the code. I do not have this code. How do I get the code. Holding and turning the pages of The Times (compact edition) is not an easy task at 70mph when alone!!!

did you get all the docs and audio book when you bough the car, check in tem for a 4 digit code also if you got special cards the code is on them, failing that its a dealer job but some are quite good and give it free ( take your car docs as proof of ownership ) and drivers licence

I had the same problem and contacted the garage that originally supplied the car. They never had the code on file, but rang me back about 20 mins later with the code. They had apparently got it from a web site that dealers have access to.
