Hi all,

I have a few questions about the radio on my W124 260E 1987 vintage.

There radio is not OE and after some research it should be a Blaupunkt Casablanca or Coburg SQR 49.

Is there anyone on here who can explain what the SQR 49 means? I have seen a Granada SQR 49 on ebay and am considering buying it, but will it be OK for my car? i.e. was it offered as OE back then? will the wiring be the same, backlights the correct colour?

Help please!!

Best regards,

Steve.

Cars of that era often didn't come from the factory with a radio. My 1998 202 which I collected from Sindelfingen definitely didn't.
Dealers would then often fit pretty much anything.
