Radio just stopped working, 2015 C220

Has anyone else experienced this? Have attempted to have it fixed by a local Mercedes specialist (not an official dealer) and they can't track it to any software glitch or fault code and have given me pages of updates carried out. They say it will now have to go to a main dealer for ultimate fault diagnosis - and that it could be the head unit itself that's failed. CD works fine. And just occasionally, the radio makes us jump when the traffic alerts suddenly kick-in! Anyone know what a head unit costs? Trying to work out whether to bother replacing it.

Just spoken to them. £120 diagnostic fee, refunded if repair done. Worst case scenario is £1400!
