I have a 1980 208 CE and am putting a modern DIN radio in it. What source (run a wire from) can I use that is close to the radio bin to provide a 12v memory wire power lead? Have a key turn 12v power wire set that went to old radio but need something that will also in addition be on all the time to save the functions and internal clock of new Blaupunkt. Help!

I actually put te radio in tonight with an adapter that was wired backwards to the charts...that took some time. After assessing the situation, ended up pulling the console wood out and hooking the memory power wire to the flasher switch hot lead. Have run checks and no problems with either device. It was easy to run the wire up the console space under the ashtray space to the back of the new radio. BTW my cig lighter uses a slide switch on the left side of the mechanism and its only on when the switch is turned to the first indent, switch off, lighter off. Thanks for the advice.
