Radio signal

The radio signal on my C class coupe 2003 fluctuates up and down all the time , i have checked that it is connected properly at back of radio . Is it a arial problem ? Were is the ariel and is it power boosted in any way ? Thanks.

There is an amp at the rear and the antenna is in the window glass. I have an Estate where it is in the roof lining.
It is also used for the remote unlock so is range also poor for this?
Window tints have not been fitted?

hi , my unlock range is good . No window tints. so it could be the amp failing then ?

Check the connectors to the rear screen antenna are secure. Years a go I used a UPVC spacer jammed in between the screen connector and bodywork to improve the connector that had come adrift. Worked a treat.

Were are the connectors ? inside the rear hatch door panel ?

Prize of the upper plastic trim, look behind there.
In truth I only have experience of the estate and I'm assuming a hatch will be v similar.
