Hi all,

I am experiencing a number of random electrical issues, which appear to be growing. I do not have funds to take to a mercedes specialist at present and hoping for some at home fault checking to possibly solve.

First one today was all 4 360 cameras all inoperative when placing car into reverse.

At the same time I get the call garage before putting car into gear red warning. ( I have had this on and off over the past 4 yrs and its never caused any issues driving and usually disappears after turning off the car.

I also have intermittent errors much more frequent with blindspot assist working and lane change and pre-safe issues. I have been meaning to remove the radar sensors and clean the connections as there is correlation with winter & Summer conditions with these working.

Appreciate any initial self diagnostic thoughts. I know it would be ideal to use Star diagnostics, but at present can not afford this route. I think I read on a forum that the fuses may be at issue?

Kind regards

Jonathon

Low supply voltages can cause random fault codes being thrown up, I would test the battery voltages in the following sequences

1, After it has been at rest overnight, engine off, 12.6v is optimal 12.4v and lower needs attention
2, A few minutes after starting the engine expect anything between 13.5 and 14.8.

Tony,

Thanks for your reply I am concerned about the battery actually. The sunroof barely has enough power to close if I open it, so literally do not open it anymore and this has been going on for a few years now. I was told by a Mercedes Tech bod that the battery could through out the driver aids if too low.

Thanks, that's a good place to start, I do have a volt meter. It also struggles to start to car first time almost daily now. Second try it starts no problem.

Kind regards

It's a pretty common problem, take the readings and post back here I'm sure more support will follow, might be an idea to post your location in your Account Details so members can recommend local support if needed?
