My '91 w124 230E (A) has a problem with its speed cruise. It sometimes keeps the set speed and other times ignores it only to speed up when about 20km/h below the set speed. This happens at random. The machanic who troubleshooted it, said it was the 'actuator' Apparently a new one will cost an arm and a ear and maybe a few front teeth as well 
Does anyone know if that thing (actuator) can be fixed, before I try to find a working second hand one.
