I have recently bought a 2000 W208 CLK 430 Convertible a few weeks ago.
Unfortunately a few days ago I started to hear a clunk / rattle from towards the back of the car. The noise is only between 1200 & 2000rpm and I can only hear it in the first few gears. I can't recreate it when the car is stationary, but despite this I thought it could be the Cat.
How many cats does my car have, and how do I know which one it could be ?
I have seen many sites offering the offside cat, but not the nearside one - is there a reason for this..
Any other ideas what it could be ?
