Rattling Tailgate.

Hi Folks.

Our 2004 mercedes c class estate tailgate is getting a tad rattley over bumps. Is there any adjustment to the striker plate rubbers at each side of the catch as they seem a little worn, and if so how do I access them. Any other possible causes gratefully received. Cheers.

Solved. It wasn't the door lock making the noise as thought.

The tailgate number plate was vibrating against the back plate, and the back plate was doing likewise against the bodywork when going over bumpy ground. All fixed with strategically placed strips of double sided tape on both.
