re-circulating air

Hi
Dose any one know where the flap is for re-circulating air as when I press the button in the car I can here the relay clicking but the flap will not close so if I want to block some unpleasant odors from coming in to the car from outside it wont close
I have a 1997 C Class 250 TD Elegance I am guessing it might be blocked with muck but I cannot find where it is

Find your car here by the 6 first VIN numbers. then go to heater etc
