Re Command system DX 2.0 in a C Class 220 CDI

I have a C220 CDI with command DX 2.0 in it I want to put a DVD player in it I took the car to by local dealer and was informed I need a special lead and this will cost £250.00 is this the true as I am disabled and withe the lead and fitting its going to cost me around £600.00. Is there any other way around this In my car I also have the Mercedes 6310 telephone kit and a multi change cd
I hope someone can help as I am waiting for possible Heart Transplant and the reason for wanting a DVD in I have to travel from Somerset to London twice a week for tests and always get stuck in traffic and thought a DVD would be a good thing to have

Can't comment on the command DVD kit, but 2 things to consider. Firstly, as soon as the wheels turn, the dvd will switch off - try setting the clock whilst in traffic - can take several attempts.. Traffic jams are rarely stationary so you may not see much. And 2, you can pick up a portable DVD player from dixons for a lot less than just the lead. Could be good for the hospital waiting room too.
