A140 2002 1400
Hi All .

Can anyone give me some advice , I own a manual 2002 A140 ,its been great for years but has now decided to play up . It wont turn over, it started as an intermittant fault, and if you kept turning the key back and forth it would suddenly spring into life .But now it is more or less permanant . If i ( bump ) start it and run the car for 20 mins it will be fine and stop and start all day , but the next day it will be just the same . the battery is fine someone said it was the starter but i dont understand why it would work when its warm but not from cold

any ideas anyone ?

Hi and welcome

I would say straight away the starter motor is on its way out

These cars a very prone to the starters failing

Common fault with the A class, starter or the ign switch, you need to get it to someone who's no,s the a, class.......
