rear brake pads a170

Hi all, just got some new rear pads for mother-in-laws a170cdi but thought before i attempt the job is there any special tools or actions i need to take for correct removal as never done these on a merc before? Any info greatly appreciated.

Should be straight forward enough, is it a 168 or 169
