Rear brake shoes replacement

Any information would be appreciated on the sequence required to relieve the pressure on the the pistons to replace the rear electronic operated brake shoes on a 2007 W221 S class

WIS: "Use STAR DIAGNOSIS to bring the brake cables into the assembly position", so unless the menu access works, it looks as if you're reliant on a diagnostic tool.
However, maybe you could also release the parking brake with the drivers door closed but with the window open i.e., reach in through the open window, and then disconnect the battery to prevent the electronic parking brake activating, would achieve much the same.
I believe that the rear mechanism still has a manual adjuster that you may need to slacken off before the rear discs can be removed.
