E250 w212 14 plate
Hi All,

Going to change my rear brake pads and disks on my 14 plate E250. Does the parking brake need to be wound back before you can remove the disk or do they usually just come off? Also any other tips would be most welcome

Thanks

If they've not been changed before (or recently) then you can get quite a rust build up which can stop the disc coming off. I wind mine back, I also have used a bolt in the caliper bracket to force the disc off when they've been seized on.

Chock the wheels put it in neutral and wind it back off is my advice

Is a W212 of this age likely to have SBC - should the battery be disconnected?
