On a recent cross country journey I noticed that the rear end of our W203 was getting a bit "lively".
It definitely feels like the rear left damper has gone soft so I will need to change the pair.
The car is a 2001 C200K and has done about 80,000 miles so I guess it not too surprising.
Does anyone have any advice on doing the job - for example how easy is it to get access to the top mounting?

I would appreciate any pointers on how much trim/carpets etc I need to take out ( if any) to get at the top mount.
I will be in big trouble if there are any oily marks on the trim !

Do check your spring while you are at it, prone to breaking at the bottom.
