Rear Dome with Parktronic

Does anyone know how to remove the rear dome in a 2006 clk coupe with parktronic? The bulb is gone but there doesn't appear to be a location to pry the lens from and i'm worried about breaking something.

I always thought looking at my parktronic, that the dome is just a "lense" with slots to allow light from LEDs...

Sounds like you have a duff LED.

Simple fix, would be to take it off, find the duff LED with a multimeter, then solder in a new one from RS / Maplins ?

All the proximity leds are working fine in the parktronic.....i assumed that it doubled as parktronic and as rear lighting dome. There's a button on front map light unit to turn on a rear light and nothing happens when its pressed so i assumed that the bulb was blown (was like that when i bought the car). Do you think there is no rear light unit if parktronic unit is there?

In all cases the lamp dome just prises off

Its a 209.

Really i'm interested in if there is a special knack to prise it off. Doesn't appear to be any locations to get a tool in to prise it and i don't want to break the unit.
