rear door lock wont open from inside or outside

my rear door of s280 1996 will neither open or close
is this a big jop to fix and how should i go about it

Welcome to the forum, not an easy fault, the door liner will have to be removed, and with the rear seat squb taken out it should come off.

I can let you have some papers on how to do this later in the day

Activate your Email address in your user CP and click on save changes and I will do later, just post back to say that you have done this and I can find the post easily

Hell I did mean pop the address in you user CP, but that does not matter.


I have sent you the how to remove the seat, and the door panel.

There is no easy way around this , the seat will be in the way.

It would also make it easier if you can pull off (inwards)the drought excluder, but I do not know if this will be possible

As on the paper the bottom half of the liner is held on with nylon clips that pop out
