rear end - strut replacement

after look at the price for replacement parts for the self leveling system on my 240td i am now thinking of replacing the whole system with a normal set up.
can this be done by just replaceing the struts and possibly the springs or is there a lot more to it i/e strut mountings ?
if i do replace the struts i would remove all parts of the system from frount to back

Andy,
depending on what need replacement, it is not always cheaper to replace the self levelling with a standard suspension.
we do all the parts for the system
pump £175
Valve £139
Shocks £98.00
Spheres £45
get the system checked to find where the fault lies.
Heavy duty springs are not easy to find and will probably cost around £80.00 each, with the shocks as well and all necessary bushes, probably about £120.00 per side
