Rear Head restraints - CLK 2.3 Komp Elegance 2000

Both the rear head restaints are in the "down" position and I've tried a few times to get them to operate to the "up" position but no joy! I've read the instructions and can hear the motors running for a short time when operating the switch but nowt happens! so I'm missing something? can anybody give me some pointers? thanks in-advance

I've got an estate, so don't have the folding headrests, but I thought they were only powered down. Don't they have to be manually raised?

They are manual up only and electric down as stated in previos post.

just lift them to lock position.

I suspect maggra has a cab, they are part of the roll over system and are powered up and down!!
