I have recently purchased my first merc, a c180 estate (203) in araganite blue with blue thermo glass (Mmmm niiice!), however I have a large dog and to give her a bit more room in the back for longer journeys I would like to remove the rear load cover. I have had the rear seats folded down, had them up, looked all over for hidden catches, the lot and I cannot see how to get the cover out, it seems to be permenantly fastened to the rear seat back as there are two plastic covers below it which I assume cover some sort of bracket. Can anyone please tell me if it can be removed and if so how?

Yes
Just pull it out sideways out of the passenger rear door with the seats folded down. It just slots into the rear of the seat.

It's not happening.

I have just tried pulling it out from both sides and it's just solid, is there a catch to look for?

Cheers

I have got it out at last! The answer was to kick the hell out of it! Now all I have to do is clean the shoe prints off it. Thanks very much for the help.
