This post is info that might help someone .
I've had a problem with the rear passenger side carpet. getting very wet. I didn't find much from searching but remembered a post about rear drop glass motors seizing because of blocked drain holes. I found no info on which drain hole might be blocked After a fair bit of dismantling I could see into the bottom of the rear quarter and it was indeed full of water. There is a drain hole in the bottom that was blocked with fine debris. A quick poke with a long stick and the water gushed out onto the drive below. The drain is just behind the motor wiring connector, circled in yellow.

I wonder if that is just on the R230, or is it common on all MB cabriolets?
just thinking it may be accessible from beneath with the plastic coated net curtain wire (flexi).

If you know any bass players a bass string is a great tool for drain clearance

On the R230 the outlet is behind the plastic under tray. You'd need to take it off to find the drain. But that said, clearing it from below would just be a temporary fix because the debris is still in there, same as poking wires in washer jets, it won't last.
