Hoping somebody can help me here, have just collected my V Class XLWB AMG 2019 from the dealer and they were unable to show me how to change the positions of the seats in the back, due to Covid19 distancing rules. The back row needs moving forward, and the middle row of 3 seats is currently in conference layout, would like to change these to facing in direction of travel.

Would appreciate some help with this, perhaps a video or tutorial of how this is done? Feeling rather lost at the moment!

Thanks

Hi,

Firstly the seats are heavy so get some help.

Firstly I would remove the single middle row seat the the two seater. Refit these before moving the rear ones forward. Also useful to put both driver and navigator seat forward.

On the front leg there is a catch that needs to be lifted, then you can lift the seat up using the handle on the rear.
Once this is lifted up you need to get violent. The seat needs to be pushed forward to be released from its track. There is a kind of key way in the track for taking it out and putting it back.
Once out fit the two seater then the single, then onto the rear seats. From the boot lift the handle at the back up but make sure the seat is still in its tracks, with someone else lifting the other handle(s) you can push them forwards, push together to keep them connected and parallel.
Once in the correct place let go of the handles and make sure all the seats are fixed firmly.

Vow never to change the orientation again

The tool for moving the track is or should be in the tool cupboard above the rear wheel, drivers side. Mine was missing from new, (denied by the dealer) so used a screwdriver to move the track.

Thanks very much for your help with this, certainly sounds as though it's not the easiest task to do! Certainly taken a note of your comment to 'vow never to change the orientation again'!!

Not the easiest of tasks, but did manage it on my own. Did you manage to change yours around ?
