Rear seats stuck flat

HI, I was hoping someone might be able to help me, i have a ml270 on a 52plate and the backs seats are stuck completely flat. No room to see underneath at the cables. The back rest folded down then i used the handles to move the seats forward and then down to a flat position, now when I pull the handles, nothing moves. Any magic release button or something?

Have seen the seat belt jam when the seat is folded, not allowing it to be put upright.

Try moving the front seats to their fully forward position.
