I was away for a month only to return to find my 2018 AMG GLC43’s rear suspension had dropped on both sides with the left side lower than the right. Once I unlocked the doors the rear started to rise up again and was fully back to normal ride height by the time I switched the ignition on.

My question is, is this normal or should I bring it into the dealer to check? The vehicle is still under warranty and this was the first time I had left it parked for a month without use.

Many thanks!

It shouldn’t do this you have an air leak somewhere don’t be fobbed off by the dealer the bottom line is that the air pump will be overworked if you leave it as is and the airbags will only get worse

So I checked it into Mercedes’ Benz and they checked it over to find nothing wrong and even kept it for a week without use to see if it sagged. In the end no sag….maybe next time when I’m away for a month I’ll leave it with them again… sigh.

Looks like you have a small air leak which they obviously aren’t bothered about finding - it may get worse and it may not there is one thing for sure the air pump will be on extra duty - all you can do is monitor the situation at least you are aware

Mine was sat for about 8 weeks while I was away this summer and there were no problems.
