I am having problems with the rear suspension of a 1999 V-class 220 CDI. If it is not driven for a day or two, when I start it up the suspension lowers to about 2" from the top of the tyre, making a buzzing noise from the near side, but not like the buzzing and then the click when it is working normally. If i press the button on the dash, it stope the buzzing but the light on the instrument panel comes onm sometimes steady and sometimes flashing. I then have to turn the engine off, press the button on the dash again for the light to go out, then the buzzing starts again, but it sops if i press the brake pedal, but starts when I release it again. It then seems to correct itself after a short while. Can anyone help?

I'm having similar problems- see my post below.

I spoke to the garage yesterday and it appears they've fixed it; one of the valves was sticking so they lubricated them all.

apparently, you are supposed to have the system calibrated occasionally which is a main dealer job.

Have you had many more problems with yours? How long have you had it?

I got it on Tuesday, drove it home then drove it back to the dealer on Wednesday! Total mileage- about 80...

I've always wanted one- we've made do with a VW T4 for a year but my wife is returning to work following maternity leave, so we needed something a bit quieter/smoother/pokier!

It seems to go really well so hopefully we'll keep it a while.

Is there a workshop manual available for it?
