Hi there looking for some advice please i have a 190e when i have any passengers in the back & go over speed bumps i get a loud banging noise from the offside rear. The shock absorber was leaking so changed them but same noise still there. It is excellent when there is no passengers in the back any ideas. many thanx brian:

standard wheels or have you fitted bigger alloys?

Are the four big rubber mountings on the sub frame corners intact?
If they look at all tatty they might be completly jiggered.
It is not easy to check them without a ramp. ensure that the sub frame does not move verticaly as the weight is taken off both back wheels.

Severly worn mounts will make the handling a bit iffy under hard cornering, on my absoloutely worn out 190 a full thottle start off into a lh corner got the thing to point side ways through the corner, great fun for those who like tail happy handling.

What about weakened springs or a broken spring?
