Rear view mirror red light flashes

Can anyone tell me why the red light in my rear view mirror flashes after I have started and am driving along?

Change the batteries in the key.

you might need to resync the key after changing the batteries, if so, please read the bottom of this post and confirm if the resyncing procedure worked

OK will try thanks. I didn't think my battery needed replacing as the red light on the key fob works fine. Also the red light on the rear view mirror doesn't alwats come on, but when it does it comes on in 15 second intervals.

pretty sure its explained in the manual that came with the car ,was on my old one anyway

I have changed the key fob batteries, my main battery (which needed changin ganyway), and re-synched.

Anyone have any idea why the red light still flashes every 15 seconds or so? It lasts for a few minutes then stops
