I've just bought a new interior rear view mirror for my W116 Mercedes to replace my old, loose one. The problem is, I can't work out how to get the old one out. Is there some trick to it???

Thanks, Will

If my memory serves me correctly. A good ole sharp yank should sort it. If you look at the old one you should see that two point are held out with a strong spring. This is how it's held in. Have a good look at the new one. If I am correct. Take a deep breath and PULL!!!

That's fine but.....

In my 190, the tactic is the same, a good hard yank  got the thing off. The problem is, does anyone know how to put the ****** thing back on again?

I'm hoping there is a technique to this, otherwise, I cabletying it.

Cheers
