Rear window demister

Hi all,just bought a 1995 c180 esprite and am having a problem with the rear window dimister,when i turn it on the light lights up but after a few seconds it flashes and the demister fails to work any ideas, Thanks

You do need to check it you have 12 volt on the window, the connectors are on one side behind the C pillar trim, if no 12 volt there you muist work back to the relay
