Why? surely your insurance covers the rear screen, they are also bonded so removing them could be tricky and damage would be possible.

jibcl500. I carry my own insurance. I placed the fuel cap resting on the trunk lid/rear screen, then without thinking, opened the trunk, while still fuellig. The crack and hole are bonded up with metallic epoxy, but looks like crap. Could have bought several new cars with money saved on insurance

I have a 220 1993 saloon ready for breaking and the screen in that would fit your car you can have it if you come and take it out, im in cambs cb6 3ul.

For future reference you should know there is a proper place to put the petrol cap when filling up the car.

It is inside the open flap itself. You just push the cap into the spring device.

It also avoids driving away and leaving the cap at the garage.
