can anyone advise me on the following.I bought my c180 feb 2002 registered from my brother in mar 2005 with only 19000mls on the clock.
In May last year the car went out of control when going around a corner,the steering didnt respond and i smacked into a wall and ended up in hosp and unable to drive for several months.I found out just yesterday that a recall on this class was issued insept 2003 to repair a fault with the steering coupling as there was the possibility of loss of steering control.
I asked my main dealer to check if this work had been done on my car there reply was that the records show no outstanding work is required.
My brother who was the owner at the time of the recalls says he wasnt advised of this recall and assures me this work wasnt carried out.
Iam concerned that i am driving an unsafe car.
Please help me.
