Recalls On Rusty Mercs

I have been told by a friend that there was a recall on some cars to have door frames treated with some sort of anti rust agent. I refer to under the rubbers on doorframes which as we all know are problem areas. I have noticed on this forum that there are one or two people who seem to be extremely well informed regarding recalls and wondered if any of them could confirm this. 320 CDI 51 plate. regards AA

I heard about this recall too, around 2 years ago. I never got called myself though, and sold my 210 about a year later. I'd call the dealer and ask them. Allegedly they sprayed a waxoyl type substance under the rubbers. Seems worth doing, even if MB don't.

My dealership said it is was done as part of the normal service, not an actual recall more of a service bulletin.
