US insurers providing refunds... I am very surprised by this if accurate.

I wonder is this due to people stopping their policies? I highly doubt companies are calling up customers offering cash refunds... Or perhaps we've all been wrong about them and they are kind, caring folk.

Actually this is Allstate contacting insured and seeing if they do their part and stay home the insurer will refund their premiums, very clever bit of work by them but it’s a bugger for my company

I suppose they ought to really as their risk is currently much lower - but I'm not holding my breath! Across our two cars, we probably average 250 miles a week over a normal year. Currently we doing just 15 with one return trip to the supermarket.

You cynical lot of course the Insurers will reflect our reduced use and consequently risk exposure by popping refund cheques into our post boxes.

My home insurers have recognised my house sitting reduces break in risks by preparing to send me a refund.

I have been waiting since April the 1st when it was announced.

If anyone feels that their car needs a run to keep things moving & stopping, I'd be willing to drive them to work & back for you. Especially those with the AMG V8 go-faster models ...:rolleyes:;)
