Is it possible to get a remap for my '92 SL300-24?

Failing that are there any things I can do to get a bit more ummphh out of it?

It's not a priority as I'm extremely happy with my car but I did always want a 500 but this one came along which was too good to turn down:60k,full MB history, prsitine condition etc.

I have a gut feeling that chipping or remapping your 16yr old SL may do more harm than good..

I agree with the others. I have not done any detailed comparison between the 320 and 500 specs, but suspect that the 500 will enjoy a few more features and satisfactory performance.

Given that all prices are weak at present, you may find that the "cost to change" will be minimised and may not be much more than the cost of remapping your 320.

You would not then have the doubts about the effects of remapping, or the insurance issues it might bring.

Buying a good 500 in January is a decision I have never regretted. :D:wink:
