So this is on my radar in the future.
I am getting the quad tail pipe stainless exhaust done next month and following that, the remap is next.

What should I expect to see from the results of a remap (apologies if this is covered in here numerous times already)?

Nice plans!
On the remap, are you looking for specific figures? I'm not sure you will get massive gains to be honest, however I'm no expert
GAD is probably the firm to ask on that, I can only say smoother power delivery/Throttle response(more torque and BHP). You can pretend if you like about better consumption figures, theoretically that will follow, but you'll drive the car harder which will negate the gains!

Yes MPG wise for any V8 petrol is a little bit of a non starter as like you mention any efficiency you gain get lost with a heavier foot

Many thanks

You don't buy a big V8 and expect economy chaps! :p
Not really looking for any specific figures, but wondered if 400hpish was doable?

I very highly doubt it my friend I would say in the region of 385-390bhp maybe at a push???

But like i mention we have little experience with them maybe a couple tuned over the years

Many thanks

20-25BHP looks doable, which I think takes you c 385, but as I said before don't just look at the headline figures, it's how the power availability is delivered to your right foot which is the important thing....

360 ish as standard iirc, so I would expect around 380-390 at a push, but as John said, it’s all about the delivery that changes

Are you putting an X Pipe in?
To be honest JBell, I don't know? My quote is for a CAT back system and rear box delete......
May I ask if the X pipe is a good thing and why?

An exhaust X-Pipe allows the exhaust to flow down the path of least resistance. At lower revs, turbulence is formed as exhaust gases try to shuffle past a second column of gases coming from the other side. While always producing more power than the restrictive factory system, the potential gains are not seen until higher rpms are reached. This is where an X-Pipe exhaust stands apart from the rest. Exhaust gas is pushed out harder as the engine spins faster. The X-Pipe merges this chaos into two uniform streams, allowing a smooth flow from engine headers to exhaust tips through the addition of this exhaust crossover pipe.

Lot of the CL / SL guys put them on

Thank you, a very thorough explanation. I like that... :) I will make sure this is also done now.

Dreaming of a CL55k - one day maybe....
My understanding is very little gain on a non-turbo or supercharged car. Also not sure the delivery can be that much improved either.

Not sure worth it imho
